Drilled and tapped the receiver for a Picatinny rail.
Chopped the factory vent rib barrel to approximately 20″.
Drilled and tapped the vent rib for a HiViz fiber optic sight. Sighting through the trough in the Picatinny rail, the green fiber optic front sight is nestled perfectly.
Installed a Sure Cycle +3 magazine tube extension, bringing the capacity to 8 + 1. The extension comes with a longer spring, as well as a red anodized high visibility follower.
Next up will be deciding what to do with the furniture. It’s ugly, plain wood, probably birch. Trying to decide whether to do something with that, or just replace the furniture with a rubber-coated set from Hogue, probably in a shortened 12″ LOP.
The plan for Cerakote is to leave the vent rib, mag tube extension, trigger guard, and Pic rail black, and coat the receiver/mag tube set in Cobalt Kinetics Green.
