New Year, New Priorities

Posted on January 15, 2014 by

The anticipation rises as yet another year goes by. I need to learn to turn off the news! Although I will say, I have been able to establish a fairly good balance between my everyday life and my momma bear tendencies. Hours… Lost… Swallowed up in a vortex of possibilities, probabilities and diy projects. It can play on a girl’s sanity, I assure you. I’ve learned balance this past year and I peek into the New Year with hope and confidence. I […]

Posted on October 25, 2013 by

Fall is finally upon us here in Georgia. The official start of fall was back in mid-September but it does not feel real until the temperature starts to drop and the leaves begin to change color. While much of the country has already plunged below freezing and had it’s first batch of snow flurries, Georgia still has plenty of time to enjoy the season. That means it’s time to start brewing up some spiced apple cider and whipping out those hot apple pies because above all else in Georgia autumn is apple season! This time of year North Georgia is […]

Burning Fuel Indoors

Posted on October 2, 2013 by

According to the American Lung Association at lung.org, after an emergency or power outage, many people are poisoned by Carbon Monoxide. Bad weather emergencies, like snow storms and hurricanes are usually followed by people burning fuel indoors. I don’t know about you… but that sure get’s my attention! If you did not absorb those first few sentences, read them again. Carbon monoxide (CO) is an odorless, colorless, and dangerous gas. It is produced when a fuel such as natural gas, oil, kerosene, wood or charcoal is burned. Fuel-burning appliances used indoors must be maintained, used properly and fully vented to […]

Taking Donations for Boy Scout Troop 008 in Georgia

Posted on September 26, 2013 by

Boy Scouts Targeted by Thieves Donations are currently being accepted at both our Marietta and Roswell locations. The Boy Scout motto is “Be Prepared,” but you might be hard pressed to find anyone who’d be prepared for someone stealing a Scout trailer out of a church parking lot. The TruPrep family are firm believers of giving back to our community whenever we can and needless to say, this sad story made us want to take immediate action. In recent days, Troop 008’s trailer filled with camping supplies in preparation for their big camping trip planned for September 27th through the […]
